Thank you once again for partnering with Merrimack Valley Credit Union!  We are confident that you will enjoy an enhanced banking experience using our mobile banking app with check deposit feature, chip-enabled debit card, automated telephone banking, faster transaction processing, and online loan decisions!

To facilitate the account conversion, certain banking services will not be available from 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 29 through early evening on Sunday, May 31.  The information below will guide you on what to do before, during, and after the conversion.

Mobile Banking

Access your account from anywhere, any time through mobile banking!  If you're already an Onlne Banking user, you can get started right away.

Once you have downloaded the Mobile Banking application you may be emailed a one-time use PIN, simply follow the email instructions.

Bill Pay

Getting started with online BillPay couldn’t be easier. If you’re already registered for MVCU's online banking and have a checking account, just click on the Bill Pay tab inside Online Banking to enroll.

Important Information

New Account Number

On June 1, your account number will change - refer to the letter you received for your new account number.

We have added a prefix to your original account number to make this change as easy as possible for you.  While your account number is changing, your banking will not - your existing checks and pre-authorized transactions linked to your current account(s) will continue to be processed.

What to Do BEFORE Conversion Weekend

Debit Cardholders

Activate your new chip-enabled Debit Card.  Follow the instructions to activate your card by phone prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29.  You can continue to use your existing debit card up to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, after which you should begin to use your new activated chip card. Your existing debit card will no longer work after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29.

Important: any existing debit card automatic payments to providers (i.e. E-ZPass, gym membership, etc.), will no longer work after your card is deactivated on Friday, May 29. Please contact your providers with your new debit card information on or after June 1.

Online Banking Users

If you use a money management tool like Quicken or QuickBooks, please export your transaction data prior to Friday, May 29 at 5:30 p.m.  After the conversion, you will be able to access 24 months of eStatements through Online Banking.  However, the transaction history prior to June 1 will not be visible. Your new transaction data will restart on Monday, June 1, after the conversion is complete.

What to Do DURING Conversion Weekend

Cash Apps

Please note that Cash Apps such as Venmo, Apple Pay, E-ZPass and similar apps will not be available until Monday, June 1. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Call Center Hours

Our Call Center will be open with extended hours to answer questions: (800) 356-0067.

  • Friday, 5/29: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, 5/30: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, 5/31: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Monday, 6/1: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

They will not be able to perform real-time transactions, including balance inquiries. 

Access your funds during Conversion Weekend

  • Withdraw cash using your new MVCU chip-enabled debit card at any one of the 40,000 surcharge-free CO-OP or SUM network ATMs
  • Use your credit card
  • Write checks to pay bills

Balance inquiries will not be available at any ATMs during the conversion weekend.

What to Do AFTER Conversion Weekend

All Members

Please continue to use your existing checks. You do not need to make any changes to your existing direct deposits or other financial transactions unless you have automatic payments linked to your existing debit card.

If you're setting up a new ACH transaction, please use the new Routing and Transit Number, 211384926, plus your new 10-digit account number.

Please refer to the letter you received for your new account number.  

Loan Members

Please make loan payments payable to Merrimack Valley Credit Union and remit payments to:

Automatic loan payments will transfer to the new system.  If you have a previously scheduled payment from another financial institution, that payment will continue to be processed.  Please make sure to update the payee name to Merrimack Valley Credit Union.

Online Banking Users

On Monday, June 1, you will need to register before you can access Online Banking.

To register:

  1. Locate this Online Banking login box on the home page.  Make sure that "Merrimack Login" is highlighted in red

  2. Click "Register"
  3. Enter your new 10-digit member account number, the last 4 digits of your SSN and your date of birth where prompted
  4. Read the Online Banking Disclosure and type Yes to accept, click Start
  5. Choose where to send the one-time passcode to complete the registration process, click Send Passcode
  6. Retrieve and enter the 6-digit passcode where prompetd, click Confirm Passcode
  7. Set up username, password, and confirm your email address, click Next
  8. Select security phrase and security picture, click Next
  9. Click Continue to agree to the online banking disclosures

You now have secure online access to your accounts.

Note: No online banking transaction history will be visible in the new system. 24 months of eStatements will be available.

Bill Pay Users

After you register in Online Banking, you will be able to continue paying your bills online. Click the Bill Pay tab, enter your current username and password. Your bill payment information will not change.  

New Mobile Banking

After registering for Online Banking, you can now use Mobile Banking.  Download our FREE mobile app to your Apple or Android device and experience the convenience of banking on-the-go.

  1. Download app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Open app and enter your online banking username and password

You now have secure mobile access to your accounts.  

Mobile Banking Features:

  • Check balances on your deposit and loan accounts. NEW! Quick Balance on your app without login
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Deposit a check (2 business days hold; $1,500 per day or $10,000 per month limits)
  • Track your spending and savings
  • Touch ID login
  • SSL encryption to ensure data transfers are secure

Changes to Funds Availability

  • Our general policy is to make funds deposited by check available the 2nd business day after we receive your deposit, with the first $500 available the same day we receive your deposit.
  • Cash is available immediately.
  • Longer delays may apply for checks totaling more than $5,525 on any one day.

Please refer to the enclosed Member Account Agreement.

Changes to the Fee Schedule

The fee schedule will be effective on June 1, 2020.  Since Merrimack Valley Credit Union offers a variety of options for overdraft protection, be sure to review the NSF fee structure as it is different from the former OSEFCU fee schedule.  

New Surcharge-free ATM Networks

After conversion, you will have access to 40,000+ SUM and CO-OP surcharge-free ATMs across the country. ATM transactions at Allpoint ATMs will no longer be surcharge-free.
