MVCU Teammates Support Local Organizations with Friendly Competition

On Friday, March 10, MVCU teammates enjoyed a night of bowling to support a local nonprofit organization. The Family Services of the Merrimack Valley’s (FSMV) annual “Bowl a Strike for Kids,” raises money to help match children with positive adult role models. Based in Lawrence, MA, the FSMV is a nonprofit social service organization that provides vulnerable children and families with programs focused on youth development, parent education and emotional health.

The bowling team consisted of eleven teammates from different departments and branches: Christine Ronca, vice president of retail banking; Wendi Fallon, deposit operations manager; Heather Rabs, deposit operations specialist I; Susan Hirschfield, mortgage quality and servicing supervisor; Jon Bewsher, branch manager II in Fairhaven; Angeli Custodio-Perez, floater teller II; Julie Brady, sales performance manager; Saimer Jimenez Morales, member support manager; Zobeida Duarte, assistant vice president of member support; Kristin Cole, staff writer; and Glenn Prezzano; vice president of corporate communications and community relations. Additionally, the team was joined by Mark Brady and Joe Ronca.

Aligning with the event’s Disney theme, MVCU teammates became superheroes for the evening, donning matching t-shirts from Disney’s “The Incredibles” complete with identity-concealing hero masks. The event featured snacks, pizza, beverages and lots of friendly competition.

Methuen Bocce Tournament

MVCU teammates also gathered on Saturday, March 25 to participate in the Methuen Kiwanis Club’s annual bocce tournament. The Kiwanis Club supports local children and empowers families by holding events such as car seat checkpoints and bike safety rodeos. MVCU’s SVP of organizational development Tony Marino, Mortgage Loan Originator John Privitera, Deposit Operations Manager—and longtime member of Methuen’s Kiwanis Club—Wendi Fallon, and Staff Writer Kristin Cole showed off their bocce skills at the event. The team was also joined by Methuen native Sean Healy.

Thanks to our teammates for supporting our local organizations and teaming up for some exciting competitions in March!
