CEO Corner: Celebrate with Kindness and Support

Hi Everybody,

Each month, I grow more and more excited about the direction in which Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) is headed. I have spent the last few weeks working closely with my current and future (from RTN) MVCU teammates on our upcoming merger, and I am so proud of the incredible work our teams are doing to make this transition as smooth as possible. On Thursday, June 1, we anticipate that our merger will be final and we will officially become one credit union family

Though merging credit unions can be a challenging process, our mission to support our community remains at the forefront. As we approach Memorial Day weekend and prepare to gather with our loved ones and honor those who served, I encourage you to consider the important themes of community spirit and supporting our neighbors.

When I was deployed overseas during my time in the U.S. Marine Corps., the United Service Organization (USO) provided us with special packages to celebrate Memorial Day. It made our day to open these care packages knowing that there were people at home who cared for us, especially because we were so far away from our families. In celebration of Memorial Day later this month, I invite you to spread kindness to your neighbors and community, take the time to support those in need and of course, pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

I see kindness and support in the actions of our teammates every day. When we merge, the needs of our members and teammates are always our primary concerns. Transparency and communication are our top priorities. Over the next few weeks, our team will provide you with detailed updates regarding any changes and the new services we will be offering.

I am so excited about the positive impact that this merger will have on our members and teammates. There is so much to look forward to, and I appreciate your continued support and patience while we make this a smooth integration.

Thank you for choosing to be a member of our credit union community. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!

Sincerely,

JH Sig
