Bridgewater Credit Union (BCU), a division of Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU), is pleased to announce that Erik Lipus has joined the credit union as branch manager of the Bridgewater, Mass., branch.
Prior to joining MVCU in late October 2023, Lipus spent nearly 17 years at Citizens Bank where he began working as a teller in 2007. He worked his way up through various leadership positions including banker, senior banker, assistant manager, branch manager and business relationship manager.
Looking to reconnect with his passion for helping customers and to mentoring colleagues, Lipus jumped at the opportunity to become the Bridgewater branch manager. “I really wanted to get back into the branch life,” Lipus says. “And I wanted to do it within the credit union world where I have the ability to truly focus on the members and the communities that we serve. I’m really looking forward to having a positive impact here on both members and team members throughout the credit union and helping as many people as I can.”
Lipus also cited the recent growth of MVCU, the internal growth opportunities and the tight-knit company culture as reasons why he is excited about his new position.
Lipus is a native of Raynham, Mass., where he resides with his wife and two children. When he is not working, he enjoys visiting the white mountains, coaching his son’s flag football team and game nights with his family.
